Rogers Bayfest Viral Commercial Contest

Contest Overview: Rogers Bayfest VideoJam Contest is a contest that will allow participants to create their own Rogers Bayfest 2011 Viral Commercial. All you need to do is submit an original video creating a commercial for Rogers Bayfest 2011. After your video is submitted and accepted, you will need to use various social media platforms to gain points for your video. The contest winner will be the person with the highest points.
Prize: The Participant deemed the winner of this contest will win a pair of Unlicenced VIP Rock passes or a pair of Unlicenced VIP Country Passes Plus as well as having their commercial featured on the video screens at least once per night during Rogers Bayfest 2011.
Eligibility: The Rogers Bayfest VideoJam Contest ("The Contest") is open to all legal residents of Canada and The United States that are fifteen (15) years of age or older by the last day of the Contest. Internet access and a valid email address are required to enter this contest. You are not eligible to enter or win if you are (a) an employee of Rogers Bayfest (b) a member of the immediate family of any of the persons mentioned above. Contest is void where prohibited, restricted or taxed by law. All Federal, Provincial, State, and local laws and regulations apply.
How to enter:
- Entry Period (The time frame which entries will be accepted) The Contest will begin at 12:00:01 am Eastern Standard Time (EST) on June 1 2011 and run through 11:59:59 Eastern Standard Time (EST) June 26 2011.
- Voting Period (The time frame which entries collect points) the voting will begin at 12:00:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) on June 27 2011 and run through 11:59:59 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) July 3 2011.
- Create your video: Each submission must be an original unpublished video not less than ten (10) seconds and no more than sixty (60) seconds in length and must follow the following guidelines:
  - Each submission must pertain to Rogers Bayfest 2011, and name every headline act performing
  - Each submission must contain the Rogers Bayfest logo at least one (1) time. The Rogers Bayfest logo will be provided in our online tool box on our official contest website.
- Register: During the entry period visit www.sarniabayfest.com/videojam and follow the instructions to complete the registration form and submit your video. You may only enter using one (1) registration form and one (1) email address.
  - Title of your You Tube video must contain - "The Name of Your Video - Rogers Bayfest Video Jam Contest".
  - The Participant must upload their original video and registration information no later than 11:59:59 Eastern Standard Time (EST) June 26 2011.
  - You must have consent of each person whose image and/or voice appears in the Video
  - The submission must comply with all terms and conditions of youtube.com. www.youtube.com/t/term
  - The You Tube video must contain the following tags: "Rogers Bayfest" "Video Jam Contest" "Music Festival" "Sarnia, Ontario"
  - Your Entry must be original work, and you must have all the necessary rights and titles in the Entry, including copyright. This includes any music used.
  - The Submission must not have been previously submitted by any other promotional means.
- Share and collect points: Once your video has been approved, we will add it to the Video Contenders page via YouTube. You will need to share your unique link using various social media platforms. Once on your YouTube profile, people will be able to "like" your video, add it to their favourites, comment and share it through their social media profiles. The more people that visit and interact with your video profile page, the more points you will gain.
Point System:
The points will be rewarded as follows:
- Total Views: 5 points per view
- Comments: 2 point per new Comment
- Favourites: 2 points per favourite
- Ratings: 1-5 points for every rating
Bonus Points:
- You will receive 1000 bonus points for each of the following categories:
  - Every day we will Google the Phrase "Rogers Bayfest VideoJam Contest" the top 3 approved submitted videos will receive 50 bonus points.
  - 25 bonus points will be rewarded for every country outside North America the views your video.
- Every Monday we will Google the Phrase "Rogers Bayfest VideoJam Contest" the top 3 approved submitted videos will receive 5000 bonus points.
Tips and Hints:
- Add your link to your facebook profile
- Add your link to your email signature line
- If you belong to any forums, start a new thread and embed your video. Also add a link to your video profile page to your forum signature line.
- If you have any friends or family with blogs ask them to blog about your submission.
Contest Restrictions:
- The Submission must not contain any material that is illegal, obscene, indecent, hateful, defamatory, slanderous or inappropriate in any way and must not contain explicit language or sexual content.
- The Submission must not contain any material that violates another person's rights.
- The Submission must not contain any brand names or trademarks from any other companies or bands than the ones affiliated with Rogers Bayfest 2011.
General Conditions: All submissions will be reviewed prior to being published to verify it meets all criteria. Any Submissions that do not comply with the guidelines as stated above, or that contains inappropriate content, will be disqualified and will not be published or considered for a prize.
- No Submissions will be accepted after the deadline. All submissions become property of Rogers Bayfest.
- Rogers Bayfest will not be responsible for any videos that are lost, incomplete, late or misdirected.
- Rogers Bayfest will not be responsible for any malfunctions on the production of the participant's video, whether it is technical, hardware or software.
- Rogers Bayfest has the right to immediately disqualify anyone that tampers with the entry or voting process or anyone who violates the official rules of this contest.
- Entrants will agree and abide by all terms set forth in the official rules.
Winner verification: Winners will be notified by phone within 2 business days of the contest ending. If for any reason the winner of the contest cannot be contacted, is contacted and does not respond within 1 business day, refuses the prize or is unable to accept this prize, the person with the next highest score will win the prize. The contest winner will be announced on our official contest site and Facebook on or about July 4 2011. In the event of a tie, the person with the most video views will be deemed the winner.
